Francesco Aprea

Francesco Aprea introduces himself through his art, which he describes as the most beautiful and truthful emotion of his existence. His life journey has been marked by many material and superficial experiences, but art remains a sincere point of view amid these aspects. Born in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi on the Sorrento Peninsula, Francesco initially pursued a maritime career, working on ships and engaging with diverse cultures.

Eventually, he chose to follow a greater passion—love—which led him to dedicate himself more fully to his artistic practice. Francesco creates paintings primarily using ink and acrylic on paper and canvas. His work reflects a blend of lived experiences and emotions, expressed through a distinctive and varied visual language.

Now living and working in Austria, Francesco has transitioned from amateur exhibitions to presenting his art in a more formal context. His practice is a personal exploration of emotions and sensations, conveyed through his chosen materials and techniques, rooted in his unique life story and cultural background.
